A lovely light and airy one bedroom conversion apartment with direct access to beautiful communal gardens. Close to Reigate station with regular trains into London (50 mins), Gatwick Airport (30 mins) and the South Coast (Brighton is 1hr 15 mins away, with a change at Gatwick Airport). Junction 8 of the M25 is close by, so accessible for all major road networks. The apartment has a luxury feel with flexible accommodation. We can accommodate up to 4 guests. The comfortable King Size bed can be separated into twin beds to accommodate different requirements. There is also a roomy double sofa bed in the living area. The living room leads out to communal gardens, so you can also enjoy this space. There is a fully equipped kitchen for your use with dishwasher and washing machine should you require it. Guests access the property via a communal hallway. The apartment is on the Ground Floor on the right hand side as you enter the main hallway. Your host will be there to welcome you and let you in on your arrival. I live close by to the property, so please do feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need help. There is lots to see and do in the Reigate area. Local attractions include: 1. Priory Park - our local park and a popular spot with Children’s play ground, skate park and duck pond. There is plenty of open space where you can exercise, go for a stroll or grab a coffee in the park cafe. 2. Castle Grounds - should you decide to take a stroll into the town centre, we would recommend walking through the Castle Grounds where you will come across the ruins of what was once Reigate Castle which dates back to the 12th Century. 3. Reigate Hill and Reigate Fort - you can take a walk up Reigate Hill which is also close by for some spectacular views and on the way visit Reigate Fort, built in 1898 as part of the London Defence Scheme. 4. Gatton Park - a 250 acre country estate built by Capability Brown, now owned by The Royal Albert and Alexandra School. Check the website for opening times and events. (Website hidden by Airbnb) 5. Reigate Caves are open only a few times a year but as such are quite a treat to visit, subject to a small entry fee. Further details can be found on the website; (Website hidden by Airbnb) Unfortunately, Reigate Caves are closed until further notice due to Covid restrictions. 6. Nearby Mercer’s Lake is great for a stroll or if you are into water sports, you can go paddle boarding, sailing or kayaking there. 7. Box Hill - is a popular destination for keen cyclists which follows part of the Olympic route with a very demanding climb! (Website hidden by Airbnb) 8. For wine lovers, in nearby Dorking, you can tour Denbies Wine Estate, or dine at the Vineyard restaurant and enjoy the views. (Website hidden by Airbnb) It is fairly easy to walk around the area but if you want to go further afield, nearby towns such as Redhill or Dorking are not far away. Reigate train station is around 10 mins walk from the apartment. There is a children’s play area in the communal gardens which belongs to the owners of Flat 6 so please refrain from using this equipment unless you have their permission to do so.
