The house is adjoined to a Weslyn Chapel and Chapel House was built in approx 1845 and was the home of the church caretaker. Stanbury is a lovely village set in a conservation area surrounded by stunning views. Lower Laithe reservoir is a 5 minute walk away. There are 2 pubs within striking distance of the house and another one 10 minutes walk away. Fine ales and home cooked food on the doorstep. Ideally situated for visiting Haworth, Hebden Bridge, Keighley and Halifax. The bus stop is 1 minute walk away. The Bronte Falls, Top Withens, Penistone Country Park and Haworth are all walkable from the house. The last bus (B1) to Stanbury from Keighley leaves the bus station at 5.25 pm Mon - Saturday. There are no buses to the village on Sunday's. The best option here would be to catch a bus to Haworth and walk to Stanbury. There are no shops in Stanbury. Please collect your food supplies on route. You are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare and eat breakfast. Usually the kitchen is available in the evening from 6.30 pm. There is fridge and freezer space available for guests and a space for dry store goods.
