Garden Barn, Green Farm Barns, Thursford

Garden Barn is a perfect bolt hole with spacious airy open plan sitting room with two comfy sofas & log burner. There is a well designed hand built kitchen & bathroom, all with underfloor heating. Climb the stairs & sleep under the eaves in a comfy vi spring bed & luxury linen. Across the lawn there is our Little Barn (sleeps 2) which is often booked together so that couples can enjoy separate accommodation. Change over days usually Friday and Mon day unless agreed previoulsy with Lucy. Surrounded by stunning countryside walking , cycling & bird watching are enjoyed all through the year. The barn is very cosy in winter months and in the summer there is a private area to sit and enjoy the evening sunshine & a glass of wine. Bringing bikes is no problem as we have a secure bike shed. So that everyone can enjoy the garden and peace and quiet BBQ’s and playing music are not permitted. There is parking in our driveway & a private area outside the kitchen door with garden furniture. We are very happy to share our local knowledge during your stay. Thursford is a sleepy village for much of the year, chickens crossing the road, owls hunting & dark skies to enjoy star gazing! During the months of November & December our village turns into a wonderful winterland with the famous Christmas Spectacular & Santa’s Magical Journey. From Easter the steam museum is open & The Garden Pavillion provides a perfect wedding venue. We also have the Crawfish Pub in the village specialising in delicious Thai cuisine. There is no bus service in the village but we do have a coastal bus service called the ‘Coastal Hopper’ which is very well used by walkers wanting to enjoy coastal walks without having to retrace their tracks. There is a steam train running from Holt to Sheringham , known as the ‘Poppy Line’. Boats and bikes can be hired at Holkham. We have one old deaf black labrador who likes to say "hello!", She is not allowed in the barn! There may be other guests staying in the Little barn which is situated at Green Farm.
