La Saffrie Home with a View (Bedroom 2)

We have three bedrooms to let. Please see other listings if you wish to book multiple rooms. Meals are not provided but you may use our kitchen to make breakfast, dinner. Coffee and tea is supplied. Vire is 20 minutes drive with supermarkets, boulangerie, bars and restaurants. The Normandy beaches are 50 minutes drive. There are 3 ferry ports within a 90 minute drive. Our neighbours Tony & Anicee run the goat farm next door, they are welcoming and make award winning goats cheese. We live in a very peaceful, country lane about 2 km from a small Village Montchamp. There is a small shop, garage and and a tabac there. We live near a very interesting war cemetery at St Charles De Percy. For anyone interested in WWII this is a very good base to explore many battle sites, eg Falaise where a lot of the aftermath fighting of the D Day landings took place, we are about 50 minutes from St Mere Eglise with its famous church tower depicting the parachutist. Argentan is also with an hours reach. At Soulevre (5 km) there is the famous viaduct bungee jump. In the warmer weather you can sit on our terrace to have breakfast or sip a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset. Sarah’s place is located in Saint-Jean-des-Essartiers, Normandy, France. We live in a small hamlet - La Saffrie. Next door is the Fermier des Chèvres - the goat farm where it is possible to visit the goats and buy delicious goats cheese and other products. There are stunning views at the the back of the house and we have an area to sit and enjoy the views and watch the sun go down You will need a car to get around. There is no public transport. There is a mainline station at Vire (our nearest town - 20 minutes) with a direct link to Paris and we would be happy to take people to this or collect.
