Asteri in Greek means ‘Star’ and this villa in Katsarata village near Fiskardo certainly lives up to it cosmic name. Its hillside, semi-rural setting offers breath-taking views of the whole area and the islands of Lefkada, Ithaka & Meganisi can be seen over the ocean and also main land Greece. The owner has built the villa in the traditional Greek style using only the finest materials, there are beautiful exposed wooden beams on the top floor and traditional wooden shutters on some of the doors & windows. The ground floor of the accommodation comprises of a well equipped kitchen/diner, a living room with a feature fireplace and a shower room. On the first floor there are two twin-bedrooms which share a large balcony overlooking the swimming pool and a master en-suite bedroom with it’s own small balcony, the views from the bedrooms are spectacular. There is also an additional shower room on this level. The village of Magganos is 1.5km away where you will find tavernas and two excellent mini markets. Foki beach is only 10 minutes away by car and the popular village of Fiskardo is a 15 minute drive. There are many little coves to explore at this end of the island, some of which can only be reached by boat. You can hire motor boats from the cosmopolitan village of Fiskardo – this is the watering hole for the visiting yacht flotillas and has an excellent and varied choice of eateries around the harbour and along its picturesque narrow streets and squares.
