Per Mare Per Terram is a cosy cabin that boasts breath taking views of Loch Broom and the surrounding Munros. Standing alone at the top of Braes in Ullapool it has a wonderful cosy feeling when wrapped up inside, offering out of the way tranquillity whilst still being able to enjoy the amazing scenery no matter what the weather conditions. The cabin is equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and excellent wi-fi. It also has a shower room and modern composting toilet. The cabin is around a 15 minute walk down hill to the village which has a wide selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and leisure activities. The walk back up the road is steep however the local taxi service only charges £5 for a drop off. Alternatively from the cabin there is a network of paths leading over Ullapool hill down to the village which provide fantastic views over the village itself, the sea and further out to the Summer Isles. The cabin sits at the top of our garden and is accessed via a steep winding patch. Unfortunately it is not suitable for wheel chair users and not recommended for anyone with mobility issues due to stepped areas and the steepness of the ascent. The cabin has 1 king size sofa bed with a built in memory foam mattress. Ideally the cabin sleeps a maximum of 2 however there is space for a blow up mattress if required. French doors lead out of the cabin onto a decking area which is lovely to sit out on as the sun goes down. From the decking, stone steps lead to a small seating area where a barbecue can be had. Perfect for a clear star filled night. Generally there will be someone to meet you on arrival with easy parking on a private drive for guests. If we are unable to meet you there is a key box and information leaflet next to the parking spot. The cabin sits at the top of our garden which is accessed by a relatively steep path. There will be a folder in the cabin detailing general information regarding the utilities and usage. As well as this the folder will provide tourist information for the area. We will provide our contact details and are more than happy to assist with anything. Having lived and travelled in the area (Highlands) for 20 years we have great knowledge of where to go and see. In addition our close neighbours operate a walking guide business for those who would prefer an organised tour on the mountains or glens.
