The Olive Retreat

The Olive Retreat is a spacious self-catering house, located in Riebeek Kasteel, a picturesque town in the midst of olive and wine farms. The house offers an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Extensive insulation, ceiling fans, air conditioners and a wood-burning combustion fireplace will provide comfort during all seasons. The expansive wrap-around patio with a built-in bbq or braai is the perfect place to unwind. The house is situated in a quiet part of town. It is within easy walking distance to the Riebeek Kasteel town centre and a short drive to the Riebeek Valley sights. The open plan lounge and dining space offer comfortable seating, a TV with Openview channels, a DVD player and a 6-seater dining room table. Free WIFI is available. The large covered verandah or stoep area overlooks the private garden and has a seating area in front of the built-in bbq or braai. Enjoy al fresco dinners on the outside 6 seater dining table. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering and has a gas hob with electric oven, microwave, fridge, mini freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The scullery area has a washing machine and dishwasher. Basic supplies of coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil and spices are provided to make your stay comfortable. The house comprises of 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, both with a shower, toilet, and basin, and one of the bathrooms feature a generous bath. The garage is available to park one guest car undercover and there is space of safe on-site parking on the property. Guests will have access to the entire house. The house is our holiday house and I will not be on-site during your visit. Hananje will meet and welcome guests on arrival. We are both available during your visit should you require any assistance. The house is within easy access of the many sights and tastes to be explored in the Riebeek Valley. Riebeek Kasteel is central to the Swartland Wine Route and a number of wine and olive farms are within 5 to 10 minutes drive from the Olive Retreat. Parking is available at the house. The area is best explored by car.
