A beautiful self-catering cottage in a Victorian Shooting Lodge at start of the Pennine Way, on a private working farm in the High Peak. Surrounded by open access national park moorland and meadows. It has 2 ensuite bedrooms with Hypnos mattresses and crisp white linen. A cosy open-plan well equipped living/dining/kitchen area has wifi and a TV. Just down the lane is Edale village with its pubs, cafes, national park visitor centre and train station (connecting Sheffield and Manchester). Easy access by train or free parking on site. Immediate access to meadows and moorland from the farm gate. Extremely comfortable beds from Hypnos and gorgeous cotton linen. Kitchen and bathroom essentials provided Bedrooms and open plan lounge with kitchen and logburner We will welcome you in and give advice about walks, places to eat and visit. We will lend you maps and guides. Edale is a village of 300 souls which packs a big punch, being at the official start of the Pennine Way. 2 pubs, 2 cafes, general store, National Park visitor centre. The farm is up a private lane just yards from the nearest pub. Free parking on site and Edale station a 10 minute walk away, which serves Manchester and Sheffield. Dogs are welcome. If snowfall is extreme we are sometimes inaccessible in winter. Full refunds are given if guests are unable to get here.
