Farmhouse Dijkerhoek (1898)

Our farmhouse is situated in Dijkerhoek (Holten) in The Netherlands. We live close to National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug and the beautiful city of Deventer. The front part of our farmhouse, the 'voorhuis' is available for guests. Dijkerhoek is a small village, proud of its mill 'De Hegeman'. The farmhouse is surrounded by meadows and small countryroads that are perfect for hours of bicycling or walking. You can use our bicycles. Our farmhouse was built in 1898. On the outside you can still see the characteristic features. On the inside everything has been renovated in 2018 with a brand new kitchen and bathroom. You have your own entrance to the house. The 'voorhuis' consists of a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, a dressing room and a bathroom. All rooms are downstairs. Our garden is very large (2.300 m2). In front of the 'voorhuis' is your private part of the garden with a private terrace. You can park your car right next to the garden. We live in the farmhouse as well. We have our own entrance to the house and will not bother you to respect your privacy. When you arrive at the house we will welcome you and show you around. Don't hesitate to ask any question during your stay. Dijkerhoek is a small village. There are no shops or other facilities, with exception of the mill that sells ice cream in Summer. Nearby, at 5 km distance, there are different towns (Holten, Bathmen) with supermarkets, bars etc. Bigger cities such as Deventer and Enschede offer all you need for a day or night out. Dijkerhoek is ideal if you are looking forward to a quiet stay surrounded by nature. Around the corner is National Park Sallandse Heuvelrug. But right around the house are also endless countryroads for biking or hiking. It's possible to take a bus in direction Holten or Deventer but it is a schoolbus and it only goes a few times a day. In both cities are trainstations to transport you to, for example Amsterdam (1,5 hour from Deventer). We don't mind picking you up from the trainstation in Holten once you arrive. It's possible to use our bicycles. Please make your request when you book. We have ended our breakfast services. Our pricing has been adjusted to this situation. The house has a good kitchen so you can prepare your own breakfast. We are obliged to let you pay tourist taxes. Costs are € 1 for each person each night. We expect you to pay this in cash at arrival. Bringing your dog is permitted. Keep it off the furniture please. We charge € 15 extra for dogs.
