Castle Cottage is a recently converted coach house set in the grounds of the historic Wadhurst Castle estate within easy reach of London and the coast and the many National Trust properties and gardens in the area. It is a bright and welcoming self catering holiday home and is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. The sitting/dining room is bright and spacious with large comfy sofas (one is a sofa bed), a traditional dining table that sits eight comfortably and a wood burner fire. There is a free view television and telephone for incoming calls. Free broadband internet access. The kitchen is fully fitted and there is a ground floor shower room with toilet, washing machine and dryer. First floor - 3 bedrooms. Two of the rooms can be arranged as king or twin beds and the third as twin, all with stunning views across the High Weald. There is a family bathroom. Up to two cars can be parked outside the cottage and there is additional parking at the rear. Outside dining area with solid oak garden furniture. Guests have the own small secure enclosed garden which is ideal if you wish to bring your dog. There are 140 acres of Wadhust Castle estate park land to walk around. Guests staying in the cottage can ask Fiona to show them round the lovely private gardens of Wadhurst Castle. Wadhurst Village is within walking distance with local shops, tea rooms, and two pubs. Among the local attactions are Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst, Batemans, Penshurst Place and Bodiam. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a 10 minute drive with the famous Pantiles and extensive shopping and restaurants For those seeking an active walking, cycling or sailing holiday why not visit Bewl Water or Bedgebury Pinetum (with Go-Ape). There is room to park cars behind the cottage. Wadhurst Station is 1.5 miles away with a very good service to London. The bus stop is outside Wadhurst Castle gates and goes to Tunbridge Wells, via the station
