Tanyard Barn - North Yorkshire

We are located between Harrogate and York. Tanyard Barn is a self contained 2 storey property. Located in the picturesque village of Whixley, North Yorkshire. Excellent transport links by train, road or bus to nearby York, Knaresborough and Harrogate. 2 miles from the A1 allows you to explore the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire, The Dales, and the coast. Village shop and pub The 2 storey barn has the bedrooms and shower room on the ground floor. The first bedroom is a twin room with built in wardrobe. The second bedroom comprises of a king sized bed and double wardrobes. The shower room contains a wash basin and WC and heated towel rail. There is also a large cloak room on the ground floor. On request guests can have access to a travel cot and highchair. The second floor has a lounge area and a smart TV with Netflix and free Wifi. There are 2 armchairs and a leather sofa. The kitchen contains fridge, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. As well as microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a heated airer to dry clothes in the cloakroom. The property benefits from underfloor heating throughout. There is access from the lounge to an outside balcony/terrace where you can relax and enjoy the views across Whixley Park. The accommodation comes with all linen and towels for the number of guests booked as well as drinks such as tea, coffee and sugar. A continental breakfast hamper will be provided complimentary including cereal, pastries, milk, preserves and biscuits. The access to the driveway is off Clock Hill Field Lane. Guests have access to the driveway with off road parking for up to 3 vehicles. The codes to access the electric gates can be viewed after booking. There is also a key safe so you can let yourself in anytime you arrive. I am based on the premises so if you need anything I will be happy to help. There as leaflets in the barn with information on local walks and places to visit as well as local taxi firms and pub/restaurants. Whixley is situated in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire. It is a quiet and conveniently located village. Situated mid way between York and Harrogate there is also easy access to Boroughbridge, Knaersborough and Ripon. We have an abundance of historic houses in the area. Nearby we have Allerton Castle, Newby Hall & Gardens, Ripley Castle, Harewood House as well as Castle Howard and many more. The Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Park are all accessible day trips. The coast at Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby are also accessible day trips. About 1.5miles is Cattal train station which links us to York Harrogate and Leeds. We are also 2 miles offthe A1. There is also a bus service in the village to York and Ripon. Harrogate and York are approx 10 miles away. There is also a park ride on the A59 for easy access to the centre of York. If you are keen cyclists we can also provide a secure space for cycles in one of the locked sheds. There is a handy petrol station/coop just about 4 miles along the A59 towards York which is open late. There is also a Thai/Chinese restaurant and takeaway next to it called Sweet Basil as well as a farm shop. The larger supermarket Morrisons is located in Boroughbridge. We have 3 small dogs who will greet you with an enthusiatic welcome. Just to be aware that they may be in the garden when opening the gates.
