A bright modern guest house in the heart of Coggeshall. A pretty, historic market town, steeped in history. Boasting two National Trust properties a museum and three churches. A minutes walk to the restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops also a vineyard with a very popular restaurant and bar. A lovely place to stay for a relaxing break with all the amenities you need in the village or take the community bus to Kelvedon station, two miles away and take the train to London in 40 minutes. A bright, clean and comfortable guest house in the heart of Coggeshall. Downstairs has an open plan kitchen, dining room with all the cooking essentials. Tea, coffee and sugar will be in the cupboard, please help yourself. Also downstairs is the bathroom with a bath and shower. Shampoo, conditioner and soap will be provided. Next is the sitting room with television and lots of board games. Double doors lead out to the shared rear garden with comfortable lounge seating and a full good sized garden. This area is shared with us, but we will be very considerate of your space if we are here. There is also a courtyard garden outside your front door. We live in the main house and will gladly help you with any queries you might have. Otherwise we will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay and do as you please. Coggeshall is steeped in history and there are two National Trust properties to explore along with a museum. With plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes to enjoy. North of Coggeshall is Marks Hall country Estate with beautiful gardens and Arboretum also a cafe. The Market arrives on a Thurday, the community swimming pool opens most days and a community bus runs to Kelvedon Station 2.5 miles away. From there you can travel into London Liverpool Street in 40 minutes. Alternatively, there are so many villages and towns to explore with fascinating histories and beautiful buildings near by either by bicycle or car. Also living close to the estuary there are many fishing and sailing ports, including Mersea, home of the famous Mersea Oyster. Constable country is 20 minutes away by car. An area of outstanding beauty, home of John Constable, the british landscape artist where he painted his most famous works. Stansted Airport is 30 minutes away by car or there is a bus service from Braintree . Alternatively pick ups and drop offs from the airport can be arranged, please ask me in advance. Buses run directly to Colchester, Braintree and Chelmsford from the village. Also the community bus runs to the train station in Kelvedon in the mornings and evenings. From Kelvedon the train takes 45 to London Liverpool Street. Which is walking distance to Spitalfields, Shoreditch and the city.
