A wonderful converted Old Village Post Office - the Post Box still used by locals! It has been decorated to the highest standard and has a light and modern feel. Perfect for short and long term lets and also for business visitors with its fast Wi-Fi. Parking opposite is free. There is a great Village Pub opposite serving great food. Lovely walks abound and close to 'South Downs National Park' as well as great for Brighton, Lewes, Gatwick, Glyndbourne, Hickstead and Plumpton Racecourse's. This is a lovely ground floor apartment which has been converted from an Old Village Post Office. (still has the Post Box) It has a large and light bedroom with wardbrobe and chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps. There is a comfy superking size bed with lovely new linen, the bed can be split into 2 full size single beds if preferred. There is a space to keep your suitcases and a large modern bathroom with walk in shower. (There is also a bath but the water pressure is very slow so not great if bathing is your thing !) It is spacious and light with wonderful huge south facing window seat (perfect for reading, watching the world go by or just snoozing ! ) a smart TV and fast WiFi. A very modern kitchenette (fridge with freezer compartment) Electric oven and 4 ring burner built in. Microwave and pots pans etc ) and breakfast bar. It feels very light and airy! You will also find T towels and essentials such as tea and coffee etc. Please be aware that this is an apartment and I do have a neighbour living above so expect some noise at times. The apartment is for sole use of holiday maker There is a box outside with the key, so that you can arrive when convenient. A great little place in an enviable location! The property is in a Conservation area in Keymer Village between the beautiful old Sussex Village of Ditchling and Hassocks ,with its Main Line Railway Station - 2 small supermarkets, chemist, Indian Resaurant and cafes . Brighton is very close ( 8 mins by train, 20 mins by car) Gatwick is 20 minutes - London 40 mins. Ditchling Village is a lovely 15 minute walk away with its various quintessentially English cafes, award winning art gallery and award winning pub as well as many vineyards . Also close to Sussex and Brighton Universities. Great for those visiting Plumpton Racecourse or Hickstead or Hurstpierpoint College. The other great thing - no fees for parking . You have the benefit of being in a beautiful village but close to the City of Brighton too as well as Lewes and Glynebourne. The window seat in the lounge is lovely and warm - facing South onto the street, you can watch the world go by ( there is still the working post box outside) as you relax in the Sun. The bed is super comfy ! Great if you have a car, but not a necessity as Hassocks Main Line Railway Station is a 10 mintue walk away and has regular trains to Brighton (8mins) Gatwick (20) and London (40). Too many lovely walks to mention - eitther to lovely country pubs or up to the Downs to watch the Sun go down. A very popular place to cycle as close to the South Downs Way and there are bike stands to lock bikes too. If you have a drink at the pub (The Greyhound) opposite and mention where you are staying the Landlord will let you park there. Otherwise there is free parking opposite. Also please be aware that as this is an apartment I do have neighbours above and below. There is no parking at the apartment. If you are booking because of the bath I have to warn you that water pressure isn't great and takes a while to run!
