The lodge was completed after a 2 year conversion finished with painstaking detail and attention.Externally it is oak and sandstone clad with all woodwork oak.The interiors finished to an incredibly luxurious standard, very few if any self catering properties in the country are finished to this standard. The 3 acre gardens are beautiful and really come alive from April, the flowering cherry trees in April are absolutly breathtaking and the mature tree and shrub borders offering something interesting most of the year. In season apples and plums can be picked. The gardens are a sheltered south facing suntrap boasting a small football pitch,sunken trampoline and an amazing Rainbow play systems climbing frame. Red squirels, rabbits, woodpeckers and pheasants come most days to feed in the grounds, foxes, badgers and roe deer often pass through. Its location is a bit special sitting right above the Bridge of alvah and famous gorge crossing the lower River Deveron. Secluded and remote yet only 2 miles from the Moray Firth coastal towns of Banff and Macduff with beautiful beaches. Access to the house is through the arched double doors entering the spacious hallway.
