My home is a 2 bedroom ground floor flat on a quiet residential street in Gorebridge, a town with good train and bus links to Edinburgh and the Borders. I also have on street parking. The bedroom has 2 single beds, table and chair suitable for laptop working and ample storage space. A kettle and tea/coffee are provided. The bathroom has a powerful shower. There is a large garden with eating area and summer house which guests are welcome to use. A keysafe entry system allows for easy access. I'm on a quiet residential street with on street parking. My home is calm and relaxed. Whilst you are in my house you are welcome to use the kitchen facilities to prepare light meals. I will make space available in my fridge within reason! My garden is also a place for quiet relaxation which I am happy for guests to enjoy. I will be staying in my house and will greet you and hopefully be able to give you any information you need as well as providing breakfast. You will be free to come and go as you please using a keysafe system for security. There are several historical sites within a 10 mile radius of Gorebridge, including Newbattle Abbey, Borthwick Castle, Crichton Castle, Arniston House and the country parks at Vogrie and Dalkeith. I have a wide knowledge of walks in the area and would happily take guests for a hike if requested! Gorebridge is on the A7, 5 miles south of the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass and is 5 miles from the A68. This makes it a very convenient stop off point for drivers travelling north and south. The train station is 5 minutes walk from my door (Waverley line, Tweedbank to Edinburgh). Trains run every 30 minutes Monday - Saturday and every 60 minutes on Sunday. It takes 25 minutes to get into the centre of Edinburgh. Last trains leave the city 23.50 weekdays and 23.07 on Sundays. Buses also run regularily, number 29 bus takes 50 minutes to get into the City. There may be a cocker spaniel in the house on occasion as I often look after my daughter's family pet during the day. It will be kept well away from guests.
