Set in the beautiful countryside of East Sussex, The Stables is hidden down a private lane in the quiet village of Isfield. This contemporary conversion comfortably accommodates 4-6 people on a self-catering basis and is the ideal location for exploring Sussex. You will enjoy light, spacious interiors finished to a high standard and generously equipped to ensure that you have everything you need for a relaxed and indulgent stay. We look forward to welcoming you. The Stables was converted from 3 separate buildings, now linked by a new oak-framed, light-filled dining room. This forms the main entrance and together with the large living room is located at one end of the building. The two bedrooms, on either side of the large bathroom, are at the other end next to an open study area with book shelves and a sofa bed. With the open plan kitchen, cloakroom and utility room in the centre, The Stables provides more than 100 square metres of living space. The architecture of the original building has been maintained, with floor to ceiling windows along its entire length, making the spacious interiors light and airy. The Stables has double glazing, underfloor heating and beautiful limestone flooring throughout making it warm in winter and cool in summer ensuring that you are comfortable whatever time of year you choose to visit. Living Room: a large, light airy room with wood burning stove (One basket of logs provided per booking - additional available at additional cost), TV with Freeview, DVD player and iPod docking station. Dining Room: featuring green oak beams and a high ceiling overlooking the sunny courtyard, this room is a lovely place to enjoy your meals. Kitchen: superbly equipped kitchen with high quality appliances, granite work surfaces, single electric fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, built-in fridge and dishwasher. Cloak Cupboard: a slate floor makes this a practical space to store your coats, shoes, walking boots and wellies. Utility Room: well equipped with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer, and ample space to dry jackets and coats after a walk in the country! Cloakroom: with small handbasin, urinal and lavatory Study/library: open plan area with books and a double sofa bed. Bedroom 1: comfortably furnished with king size bed and memory foam mattress. Bedroom 2: double bed with memory foam mattress and hand painted furniture. Bathroom: generously sized bathroom with bath, shower, basin and bidet. Outside: you can enjoy your own private walled courtyard, or relax with a drink surrounded by flowers in the main courtyard shared with the barn. Garden furniture with parasol and barbecue provided. Linen: crisp cotton bed linen and soft white towels are provided for your stay. The Stables shares its footprint with Oak Tree Barn, both of which originally formed part of a farmstead dating back to 1850. They sit opposite each other around a shared, sunny, walled courtyard. The Stables has a private access and also enjoys its own shadier courtyard. Guests are free to wander around our gardens and paddocks and enjoy watching the sunset through our 200 year old oak trees. We live in the barn across the courtyard with our family, dogs and cat, and whilst we always respect your privacy to enjoy The Stables without being disturbed, we are available to provide advice on the local area, recommend places to eat, or places to visit. Any questions just text and we will try our best to help.
