Welcome to “Lilliput” - a quirky self catering wooden log cabin situated on the south side outskirts of Lichfield City. If you are after something a little different this fully equipped self catering log cabin (little house) will provide an ideal, cosy hideaway from the stresses of every day. Lilliput is ideal as a base with fine restaurants/ public houses / parks / museums and much more as well as the stunning Cathedral itself on the doorstep. Lilliput is located in the grounds of the hosts secluded property. Lilliput is self contained and private. Lilliput has secure parking and its own access. Lilliput has a patio area with bistro table to enjoy. Lilliput is a quirky space, it offers plenty of character! Expect something a little different. Open plan living area incorporating comfortable lounge / dining area / kitchen. Windows to front and side overlooking private garden. Separate double bedroom with window overlooking garden and finally separate shower room with sink and WC. Heating is provided by oiled filled radiators and there is a retro electric log burner stove for guests to use if they wish. Smart TV and WiFi. Lilliput is entirely seperate from main house and is fully self contained. Guests have full use completely of Lilliput facilities and that includes parking space and its own access via wrought iron gates in the private grounds of main house. Automatic lighting from driveway to Lilliput after dusk. We live in the house, however Lilliput is situated in an elevated private position with steps leading to the little house. If you are after peace & quiet then you will not be disturbed. Anything you may need just ask us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Lichfield boasts a wonderful historic past with a beautiful Cathedral well known for its three spires ( Ladies of the Vale) Lichfield. Lichfield has a host of things to do from visiting Dr Johnson’s birthplace to wandering around beautiful Beacon Park. Darwin Park and The Lichfield and Hatherton Canal is just 5 minutes walk away. Enjoy historical Minister Pool and Stowe Pool in their stunning surroundings. Throughout Lichfield and neighbouring villages/hamlets are a wealth of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and old pubs! With easy access to the M6 , M42, A5 and A38 this makes Lilliput a wonderful base to explore Staffordshire , Warwickshire and other attractions. Birmingham City is just 50 minutes via City Railway Station. Plus Stratford On Avon - the home of William Shakespeare and The Royal Shakespeare Company is a short car ride or train journey. Lilliput is a 20 minute walk into the quaint City centre where the bus station and train station can be located. A trip into a Birmingham is just 30 minutes. Lichfield also has the Garrick theatre that attracts a host of entertainment. Bespoke eateries , often food fayre’s and festivals throughout the year. Plus local supermarket, pharmacy, newsagents, hairdressers, florists, travel agents all within 10 /15 minutes walk away. Car hire and local garages available. Walk In Medical Centre, Trent Valley, Lichfield. A&E Hospitals at Sutton Coldfield and Burton on Trent. Lilliput is situated 20 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive from the City Centre and Lichfield City train station. Opposite the City Station is Lichfield Bus Stationn offering frequent local services to surrounding areas. Most parking in Lichfield car parks and designated parking areas are subject to parking fees (approx £1 an hr). The Lichfield and Hatherton Canal is currently being restored to its former working glory and will run along Tamworth Road with walks along canal paths.
