Tiny House with a Lake-view

Bright, airy Tiny House, ideal for guests wanting an idyllic stay in a quirky cabin with lake-views of the South Downes. Two mezzanine floors - both with double bedrooms, a cosy lounge under one & private bathroom and mini kitche the other, with shower & toilet. Designer wallpaper adds to the eclectic touches and enjoy Internet enabled TV, Roberts Beacon 320 retro speaker and central heating. A Hot Tub and/ or Sauna can be booked for 1.5 hour session for £20 per person and item. Coming to stay is like having your own private wildlife park to enjoy for your stay and there are wandering peacocks, chickens, ducks, geese, the occasional swan, pheasant and resident kingfisher. Nature is all around you - there are no human sounds – only birds and animals. There is so much relaxed enjoyment for you, from reclining in a hammock, boating on the lake (you’re also welcome to fish on the lake if you have your own rod) using the trampoline and ball games on the field, having a game of giant chess on the Spa deck, having a picnic in the treehouse, roasting marshmallows around a firebowl or going for some of the glorious and numerous footpath walks around the area. To make your stay extra special, you can arrange with us for a hamper full of delights from the Sussex Fine Food Company to be delivered ready for your arrival (£50 without wine and £65 with wine or a luxury £100 option for 4 people) which are full of delicious selections of Sussex cheese, local charcuterie, biscuits for cheese, chutney, chocolate, and local wine. The Hot Tub and Sauna are bookable for a private session by prior notice for 1.5 hour sessions for £40 for 2 guests for Hot Tub and £80 for 2 guests for Hot Tub & Sauna. For 4 guests it is 1.5 hours for and £80 for the Hot Tub and £160 including Sauna. Please ensure you bring towels. Bathroom hand towels and kitchen tea-towels are provided. Guests are welcome to enjoy the courtyard garden next to the House, where there is also a bbq area, and the lake in front of it. You can either bring your own wood or we have logs for £10 a basket/ box. The boat is available for guests to use. The House has a view directly onto the lake, and in front of it is a tree with a double-decker tree-house which makes for a lovely viewing spot over the South Downs. The village of Henfield is a 20 minute walk away, and the South Downs way (5 minute walk) is an ideal cycle track, taking you towards Partridge Green in one direction and Steynning in the other. You're welcome to walk around the scenic fields/ garden, use the tree-house and lake. The courtyard is shared and contains a bbq area, outdoor covered seating and two large outdoor dining tables. Although it's likely I won't be around in person, we will leave the house open for you and there are often people around (partner, or work-away helpers) to assist, and I'm always at the end of a phone if needed. West Sussex is stunning...with lots of picturesque local towns featuring tea-rooms and independent businesses (the South Downes Way - a popular cycle-route is 5 minutes from the house) as well as several local vineyards to visit in the area, some National Trust properties - Nymans and Wakehurst Place amoungst others to visit, and of course the quirky city of Brighton is just a 20 minute drive away. Some particular recommendations of ours for going out for food and drink, which are very locak are as follows; For the best gastro pub head to the Ginger Fox. Only ten minutes away it is by far the yummiest in the area. However, do book first as it's popular! The Royal Oak is a traditional oak beamed pub – fantastic Sunday lunches – in Wineham also a ten-minute drive towards Haywards Heath. The Wheatsheaf – which is newly refurbished and is a laid-back but still nicely styled and does excellent Brazilian food (thanks to the Brazillian Chef)! West Sussex is growing in reputation for it's vineyards - especially for sparkling wine, and Bolney Winery and Café is open every day and you can arrange a tour, or book one of their food and wine evenings - check their website for details, and be sure to book for the tours (drop-in for the cafe); Local food suppliers Henfield has two main shops – Budgens which is very expensive but does have some interesting local cheeses and chocolates, and a Costcutter for budget. There is a great veg shop called Jeremy's in the high street too which also sells local cheese and milk too. Vegetables, herbs and fruit providers in the area....
