The village is situated at the foot of the Vosges mountains offering beautiful hiking or biking trails. Make sure to visit the Alsatian valley, easily accessible, to discover the historic city of Strasbourg, the wine road, Colmar, Ribeauvillé, the beautiful medieval castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg in Kintzheim, the "Volerie des Aigles" and "La Montagne des Singes". If you prefer outdoor activities, the Lac de la Pierre Percée will be ideal and is less than 40 km away. Many village festivals are held in summer in Alsace, the perfect occasion to taste the famous "Flammekueche". The municipal swimming pool of La Plaine is open in July and August.
