The Forge

The guest annexe of 'The Forge' adjoins the main house, which situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Crondall. It is set back from the road but is adjacent to the village shop, and 150yds from The Plume of Feathers, a traditional English pub. My ground-floor guest annex consists of an en suite bedroom with 3 single beds. Two of these beds can be joined together to form a 6ft double bed(on request.. 24 hours notice please) The old forge fireplace is incorporated in the spacious L-shaped bedroom giving it cosiness and character. The room includes a TV and a recently upgraded en-suite bathroom (Shower, toilet and wash basin). There is a breakfast room with table and chairs, and with a French window into the garden. If you would like me to leave basic breakfast food ( at a small extra cost) please let me know. There will be some basic store cupboard ingredients like tea coffee, sugar, salt pepper, oil & etc Adjoining this room is the kitchenette which is equipped with a kettle, toaster, fridge, a combi-microwave ( i.e. + grill and oven) and a one ring hotplate. There is also a sink and a washing machine. Guests will have sole use of the breakfast room, and the en suite bedroom, and access to the adjoining kitchenette. I will occasionally come into the kitchenette to use the washing machine. ( I will warn you of this with you first). By mutual agreement, they are also free to enjoy the conservatory and the garden. I will be living in the house and expect to see my guests most days. There are beautiful country walks around Crondall and the two village pubs both providing meals, are within easy walking distance. Winchester is 45 minutes drive away and The Jane Austen Museum, Chawton, on the edge of The South Downs National Park is less than 30 minutes drive from here. There is no public transport but Fleet station, with a 36 minute service to Waterloo, is just over three miles away. The historic and attractive town of Farnham is also less than 4 miles away. Farnborough, the home of aviation is 8 miles from here. Please let me know if you require basic, continental breakfast food to be provided. Also give me 24hours notice if you would like two beds to be combined into a double bed. The village shop/post office which is 100 yards away, at the end of our drive, sells fresh croissants and pain au chocolats each morning.
