Mabel Cottage

Mabel Cottage is a quiet retreat just off the High Street at the East End of the town. Situated within the conservation area, the tastefully converted outbuildings comprise an entrance hall leading to a kitchen,shower room and toilet. The living room boasts a Harrison (made in Yorkshire) king size bed, dining area and T.V . The fully equipped kitchen has fridge, microwave and hotplate. There is secure cycle storage and laundry facilities if required. There is free unlimited WiFi throughout. The property is situated next to our family home but is completely independent with your own private entrance. We wont bother the guests but if they require anything we are only next door and around most of the time. Mabel Cottage is situated in the heart of Stokesley,a historic North Yorkshire market town a gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park(boasting the largest and finest heather moorland in the world). Centrally located the cottage is 2 minutes walk from many eateries including pubs,cafes,restaurants and takeaways and a good selection of independent shops . Opposite the cottage is a pleasant walk along the River Leven with several bridges crossing the river including the famous Pack Horse bridge. Within easy walking distance is Stokesley Leisure centre, Stokesley Golf Club (open to the public) with a 9 hole course,cafe and shop. There is ample free parking in College Square adjacent to Mabel Cottage and with no time limit leave your car there and explore on foot. Stokesley has a weekly market on a Friday and an award winning Northern Dales Farmers Market on the first Saturday of every month. The North Yorkshire National Park is on our doorstep with great walking,cycling,riding,beautiful villages,historic abbeys,popular coastal towns of Whitby,Staithes,Robin Hoods Bay and Saltburn. Within one hours drive are York,Durham and the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Mabel Cottage is a great base to access this wonderful part of North Yorkshire.
