Delph Cottage
Our recently refurbished terraced cottage is situated in the heart of Delph village. The cottage is within walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. Downstairs consists of an open plan cosy living and dining room space. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with double bed. The second bedroom has a single bed. We also have a spare pull out bed that will fit in the master bedroom or down stairs. The bathroom has an electric shower and separate bath. The beautiful cottage has just undergone a full refurbishment and has been finished to a high standard. The living room has a TV with freeview, a log burn effect electric fire and under stairs storage. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, washing machine, oven and gas hob. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a double bed, a large chest of drawers and a dressing table. The second bedroom has a single bed, wardrobe and small chest of drawers. We also have a spare pull out bed that will fit in the master bedroom or down stairs. The bathroom has an electric shower and separate bath. If you have any problems during your stay you can contact us and we will aim to resolve any problems as soon as possible. The village is home to one of the Saddleworth Whit Friday brass band contests. Within the region of seventy-five bands from across the UK and beyond march down the main street at five-minute intervals on the evening of the contest which often continues into the early hours. Delph is also home to the Millgate Arts Centre, the home of the Saddleworth Players. This group puts on six plays a year, as well as hosting a number of other events throughout the year. The area is great for walking, mountain biking, climbing and fishing with a number of local shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the cottage. The local villages of Delph, Dobcross and Uppermill are also close by. The nearest train station is in Greenfield with direct trains to Manchester and Huddersfield. Local bus routes connect all the villages. Parking is available on the road near the house. Occasionally there are spaces opposite the house but if these are taken then there is parking further up the road on the right. Please bear in mind the road is quite steep. There is also a short term car park behind the mill gate centre.
