LUKA.10 are two peaceful countryside cottages situated up a country lane in Kalnik, historical village an hour away from Zagreb, Croatia's capital and a stone throw away from Varaždin. Perfect place to escape, relax, play, and enjoy your holidays. Kalnik is also the name of the castle dating back to the 13th century and days of Mongol invasion; hilltop marking the end of the Alps mountain range with the top at 643 meters; popular destination for all the adrenalin but also the peace loving visitors....... The cottages were lovingly renovated in 2013 when the cow stable was converted into the smaller cottage sleeping three, and the house became a cosy place offering a nice place to stay for up to four guests. We have recently added a nice swimming pool with fantastic open views. Guests have access to everything available on the property. Each house has its own private terrace, while the guest can enjoy the wide ranging views from the swimming pool. Respecting our guests' privacy I will be coming only by guest request. Although located in the center of the village, the houses stand alone, without neighbors, without artificial light, hardly any noise, surrounded only by the nature. Nights in Kalnik can be very romantic, with more stars then you have ever seen anywhere else! There is a very detailed "A to Z" information available in the house, while the guest receive detailed maps with instructions of how to reach us. Parking place is available next to the house. There is a public bus available couple of times a day from Križevci to Kalnik, and a bus from Zagreb passes nearby. ... we can promise you can never get bored while here. Numerous walking, hiking, biking, free climbing, paragliding routes are a stone throw away. Alternatively, you can visit the charming old wine cellars, taste local food and wine, chat with friendly locals, or just lazy around by the swimming pool behind the house.
