A bright and airy converted former blacksmiths adjacent to our house with wood burner, bedroom with king sized bed, a mezzanine bedroom with sofa bed (accessed via steep steps so not suitable for infants or elderly), open plan living room and kitchenette and bathroom (with shower). Kids and pets welcome. We welcome groups of up to 6 but recommend no more than 4 adults for max comfort. 150 yds from the Red Lion known for its real ales and within easy walking distance of the thatched Half Moon Designated parking spaces for two cars (further spaces available on road) Access to a patio area next to the main house overlooking the fields for BBQs or al fresco dining. Mostly surrounded by open fields We are very happy to have a chat with our guests to give advice and recommendations about the local area but equally happy for you to be left alone for some peace and quiet. Available for any questions/ to address any problems via phone, text or email. Situated in lovely village of Belchamp Otten which has its own church and pub and within walking distance of Belchamp St Paul with its picturesque thatched pub on the green. Neighbouring village Belchamp Walter is where lovejoy was filmed. 10mins drive from the lovely market town of Clare. Plenty of pubs and coffee shops. Lovely country park. 15 mins drive from historic Long Melford where National Trust Property Melford Hall is located as well as neighbouring Kentwell Hall famed for its recreation days where history comes to life. 25 mins drive to Lavenham scenic medieval wool town (and setting for Harry Potter) with its guildhall, lovely afternoon teas and magical Christmas market. Dedham, Saffron Walden, Audley End and Bury St Edmunds all within 45 minute drive. We’re rural so car definitely required. Travel cot and high chair available on request. If you want to bring your own camp/air bed then 2 additional guests welcome to sleep in the living area. Max occupancy 6 adults given the small bathroom. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A DINING TABLE AND CHAIRS BUT THIS ONLY SEATS 4 PEOPLE WiFi available The kitchenette contains an oven and microwave but no hob - though there is a small portable induction hob (see photos) which fits only one pan and which can be plugged in. There is a TV with inbuilt DVD player which can be used to watch dvds (but is not connected to any channels). There is a selection of board games and large selection of DVDs available for guests to use. If you require an earlier check in or later check out time please ask. We will try and accommodate you if we can.
