Perfect retreat with delightful views
Our characterful house is gloriously situated on top of a hill overlooking the Southdowns and Ashdown Forest, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Before making a reservation request we ask you kindly to read the entire description as well as house rules carefully and confirm at first contact that you are fully acquainted with those. If you could briefly introduce yourself and say a few words about what brings you here, it will be appreciated. The space is perfect for larger groups. The wing of the house available to guests is the original vicarage built in 1860 which now forms the west wing of an English country house. Three of the bedrooms offer stunning views over the Ashdown Forest and the Southdowns. The courtyard garden is entirely for guests' use - there is also a larger area - an orchard - opposite the house with some seating and a small cabin that guests are welcome to use. The orchard is fenced, and any dog guests might bring, may be off the leash in this area, provided they are well supervised. If you book the place as a small part of two, you will have the place to yourself, but will have a choice of a maximum of two bedrooms in the case of two individuals or couples opting for separate bedrooms. Please indicate your preference when you make your inquiry. There is a comfortable living room type kitchen downstairs. The airbnb system does not display the house policies in an obvious manner. Please scroll all the way to the end of the listing and find them under "things to know".
