Amasiko Homestay Giraffe Cottage
Built in a sustainable way and made of wood, Giraffe Cottage has a very cozy atmosphere. It has a medium bed and a single bed being perfectly suitable for 2 guests The room is very quiet, it is near to the toilet and bathroom and has a beautiful view of the lake There is access to the lake and it's possible to swim as the water is clean, free from diseases and there are no mosquitos here. There is a dugout canoe which guests can use free of charge. It’s also possible to hire a motorboat, take walks and learn from the local community about their culture. The bathroom and the toilets are shared. There is a water heater fired with wood — hot water is available on demand We love to cook for our guests and we invite them to share the meals with us. They can also choose a full board option — we charge US$ 35 for three meals per day and the dinner has three courses. Our creative menu includes international and local dishes — we use some vegetables and fruits from our own farm Amasiko Homestay is located in Southwestern Uganda close to the Rwandan border, directly on the shores of beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. With an abundance of vegetation, it is a bird’s paradise Our guests are very welcome to walk around the peninsula and villages, where they can know more about the local culture. Visiting our school is also possible Amasiko Homestay is part of a not-for-profit social enterprise. Your payments are supporting the community, a primary school, and training of youth in sustainable living. We have a sustainable and ecological approach to positively impact the region, which is a remote, quiet and rural area
