Quaint, thatched cottage in the heart of a picturesque village within the South Downs National Park. Warm, comfortable house with off street parking, Inglenook fireplaces, wood-burner, enclosed patio garden suitable for dogs and all usual amenities. Packed with original features, one of the bedrooms has a low door - feel free to ask if this raises questions. 2 Bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom in the centre. Downstairs room can be used as a communal area with a day bed, or made up to a single bed for sleeping. Direct access to garden via French doors, a good room for the dogs to stay if a early morning pee is needed so no one upstairs is disturbed. Message with any queries during your stay Amberley “The jewel of Sussex”. Walk through the village to the 11th century church, past the Amberley Pottery. Past the church is Amberley Castle, a first class Hotel with fine dining and afternoon teas. The Black Horse Pub ( opposite the cottage) is an up market Country Pub. The Sportsman Pub is more relaxed and dog friendly. The Sportsman is a 3 minute drive up the road towards Rackham. Down past the pub down the slope is the Village stores, open 7 days a week. Past the stores is the Amberley Tea room, serving cream teas and cakes with your hot and cold drinks. Limited opening during the winter. Off road parking for 2 cars, further parking in the road opposite. A ten minute drive to Arundel, 20 minutes to Chichester and Littlehampton on the coast. Hourly trains to London Victoria are a 5 minute drive, 15 minute walk.
