Drewtons makes a good walk for coffee, lunch or an afternoon tea. There’s a mobile cafe at the Wetlands & the Silver Bullet in the parkland to stop at whilst out walking too! The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s North Cave Wetlands are 5 minutes walk away and boast wonderful birdlife including Avocets. We’re 20 minutes to Beverley & Hull & the location of the cottage is perfect for a varied break away. We offer you a warm welcome at Bay Tree Cottage with a Yorkshire tea tray & fresh flowers from the garden when in season. Easy key collection from the key safe for the back door with clear info about the property on the breakfast bar. Bay Tree Cottage is ideal for a country weekend away and also provides quick and easy access to Hull, as a work base (which is why we live next door!) The instantly 'at home' cottage has a sitting room/dining room with feature fire place (with easy to use coal effect gas fire), traditional cupboards to the side housing tourist information, books on the area, and games. TV and internet connection. Beamed kitchen with breakfast bar with access to a lovley sunny, walled courtyard garden. A really cosy room bedroom with attractive county disused fireplace, filled with logs and cones. Sunny spacious bathroom with shower over bath. The charming courtyard garden is full of birdlife, even a bird box camera to watch on the TV! There are herbs growing right outside the kitchen door for your use and we provide a veg basket during your stay when in season. The pretty courtyard has flower boarders, table and chairs and sunbeds. Being south facing the courtyard gets the sun all day and is totally gorgeous in the late afternoon/evening sun. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst cooking up your feast on the BBQ! The utility room has washer, drier, ironing board, iron, plus extra fridge/freezer. Cycle lockup. Village shop and pub are only 5 minutes walk away and Drewtons farm shop and restaurant can be walked to, or a short drive away. Lots of choice for food shopping with good supermarkets 5, 10 and 15 minutes away. Nordham is well located for a varied holiday with countyside, coast and city all within easy access. Beverley is only 20 minutes away by car and a fantastic drive to it on one of the best roads to view the Vale of York from the top of the Wolds. Hull, city of culture in 2017 has much to see and do including the Deep, its many museums, the Humber Bridge and great shopping. York is within 45 minutes with masses to see and do there. Nearness to the M62 means easy access: only 2 minutes away! Leeds and Sheffield are also easy to get to from the door. The great East Yorks coastline is only 35 minutes to Hornsea. Bempton Cliffs with fantastic seabirds including Puffins is a little further. Bridlington is 45 minutes, and Scarborough 55 minutes away. Come and stay, you will love the location! All parts of the house are for the sole use of the occupant. Louise will meet on arrival (where possible). If she is not able to, she sends out information ahead of time with directions and keysafe instructions. If Louise is not away herself and you need advice during your stay, she lives just next door, but won't interfere with your stay. If there are fresh veg and eggs available from her garden, she will bring you whatever she has available during the growing season. Charming gardeners cottages to historic Fawley House. Village community on edge of beautifully located village with lake, streamside walks and abundant wildlife. Historic stone church and church bells ring beautifully on a Tuesday evening and on Sunday mornings (not too early!) Easy access, 2 mins from M62 and well located cottage for access to Wolds countryside, towns, coast and cities. Minimum stay 2 weekend nights or 3 midweek nights. A car is recommended at this location, although there is a bus service from the village. Private off road parking for one car. Sofa bed in sitting room which can be booked. To provide sheets for this is £30/stay (ie /week/short break). Amazing walking from the door as well as the North Cave Wetlands 5 mins walk away. Pub, shop, post office and playground 5-10 mins from door. Beverley & Hull only 20 mins away. Brough station 20 mins away. York 45 mins. Coast 35-55 mins away.
