This pleasantly furnished cottage is situated in the quiet wooded countryside of Drenthe in the north east of The Netherlands. Cottage Sarah is suited for up to 2 people but if your party is bigger, than browse to vakantiehuisjesdrenthe dot nl or search for Vakantiehuisjes De Duif. There you see that I have 4 more holiday cottages for up to 6 people and one cottage is wheelchair friendly. Perhaps you don't understand the text, but the many photo's show all the details of my accommodation Cottage Sarah has its own parking lot and independent access. The living room is spacious with comfortable seating arrangement, radio and tv, and dining table. The kitchen is fitted with all you need to cook yourselves a nice meal on the stove or in the micro wave. Dish washing is to be done by hand. A bedroom with double bed, a bathroom with shower, wash basin and w.c., and a space for all your extra luggage, completes cottage Sarah. Outside you can sit under the green roofed pergola (from 2018) or take a sun bath on the lawn whilst enjoying the front garden. The whole cottage is yours. It is separated from the others and offers a lot of privacy. As a home grown Dutchy and living on the spot, I can assist and guide you to visit those typical and endearing places in the area. I love to figure out the attractive routes and items suited to your interest. If you are from abroad, I throw in some bikes which is after all the best way to enjoy our beautiful forests, moores and historical villages. Drenthe was historically separated from the rest of the country through its bogs in the east and worthless sandy soils in the west, making it a very poor region of The Netherlands. Drenthe developed in its own way. Nowadays we can still explore this old unique lifestyle. How it developed, how people adapted to the rough circumstances and became very ingenious in 'survival'. Nowadays we are spoiled with an hourly service from our porch (as good as) to Emmen and Assen....and all the enjoyable villages in between.
