Perfect for a family & friends getaway! Our lovely wooden hot tub awaits you and inside you can expect a warm welcome with two wood burners a very well equipped kitchen & large dining table & 5 en-suite bedrooms. Our Barn has been lovingly converted to become a truly comfortable family home, with great attention to detail. A very pretty garden surrounds the property with plenty of outside dining areas. With many walks right on the doorstep, situated in a private isolated position on the edge of an old WW2 Airfield at the end of a dead-end road, Liston Hall Barn is the perfect oasis to relax in the company of your favourite people. The whole house can be exclusively yours for a Long Weekend or come with your family & relax for a week's holiday. We offer a discount for long stays. Cook for yourself in our very well-equipped modern kitchen or if you don't fancy cooking, there are plenty of great pubs to eat in the many beautiful villages in this area of North Essex. You are welcome to borrow one of our mountain Bikes to explore the area (Please note helmets are not provided). If however, you prefer just to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet our Hot Tub provides ultimate relaxation time, there is no extra charge for the use of this and it does not require booking in advance. We provide beach towels for your use also, so no need to bring your own! There are three seating areas/garden, for guests use: at the front of the house where you will find the table tennis table, the back courtyard garden with a large dining table & 12 chairs & Hot Tub and to the entrance of the house there is another smaller table and chairs. All other areas of garden further back are marked private for the owners use only. Our nightly price is for 5 en-suite double bedrooms with the use of a small double sofa bed suitable for children. We can arrange for the sofa bed to be made up on the Mezzanine room within room 2 or on the Mezzanine floor above the kitchen. Please note as this is a small double bed and the Mezzanine room is not large, it is best suited to children, not adult guests. A supplement fee may be charged for this, please enquire with Host! We are extremely close to the wonderful wedding venues of Gosfield Hall & Hedingham Castle, so ideal for your stay if you are a Wedding guest! We have plenty of parking on site. If you are intending on exploring the area, a car is recommended as we are very rural! The closest pub within walking distance is approx. a half hour walk away, a nice treat to get a drink and a bite to eat on route! I like to meet & greet our guests to show you around on arrival, I am also available throughout your stay should you need anything. If I am away, one of our team will fill this role. There are many local attractions to visit close by, such as Gosfield Lake, offering Water skiing & other watersports, Colne Valley Railway; The Award winning English Spirit Distillery in Great Yeldham, offering tours by arrangement; or visit the chocolate box village of Castle Hedingham, boasting its own Norman Castle steeped in History (check their website for open dates & events going on). Or if you want to travel a little further you will find many places of interest to visit all within 30 minutes to an hour of travel, such as, supposedly, the most photographed village of Finchingfield; the idyllic Medieval wool town of Lavenham; or the Impressive University of Cambridge. Golfing Parties are Welcome!.... We are within walking distance to Gosfield Golf Club, making this a perfect place to have your annual golf get-together Attending a Wedding? We are very close to Gosfield Hall and Hedingham Castle & many other beautiful wedding venues in the area, why not let us welcome you to stay at Liston Hall Barn before & after the happy event! We understand if a short stay maybe more suitable for you, therefore a Minimum 2 nights stay will be considered, please enquire directly with Host. Ideally a car is needed as this is a very rural location and there is no bus service close by. The nearest Mainline Train Station is Witham, Essex & nearest Branch line is in Braintree, Essex. The closest local pub is around a 30 minute walk. Our home is strictly for the use of the named group booked, we will not accept any other guests stay without advance agreement. We will be asking for names and mobile numbers for each guest staying along with car registration numbers of guests arriving this way. It is not our intention that our barn is to be used as a party venue, rather that it is a lovely open social space to relax & enjoy the peace and quiet away from your normal hectic life with friends & family in a lovely rural setting. We have many walks on our doorsteps and we have mountain bikes which you are welcome to use to explore the area too! Or just stay in and enjoy the tranquility this location has to offer. We have converted outbuildings which are occupied, however they have their own space/gardens and facilities and privacy as do our guests staying in the Barn.
