A country break in the heart of the Cotswolds
Hampton Lodge is a newly refurbished Annexe. It sits alongside, but is separate to our house and has on-street parking. On arrival you will find a fully equipped kitchen, complete with fresh artisan sourdough bread, local eggs, and milk. The kitchen leads to a bright and airy living and dining room, complete with sofa bed, TV and a picnic set that you are welcome to use as you explore the beautiful surroundings. A bedroom with King Size bed and a shower room, completes this peaceful annexe. Hampton Lodge is set in the stunning Cotswold market town of Fairford and is surrounded by all kinds of things to do, including visiting wonderful pubs, historic sites, a wildlife park and restaurants and exploring the world famous beauty of the Cotswold countryside via plentiful walks and adventures. It is ideally situated for guests wanting to enjoy the Royal International Air Tattoo in July with the entrance to the show ground only a mile’s walk from the lodge. The space itself is relaxing and warm with use of a patio with garden furniture in a tranquil shared garden. Hampton Lodge is easy to find. A green door with Hampton Lodge above it marks the entrance to an alleyway, after walking through the alley way, turn to your right and the front door to the Lodge is 10 meters in front of you, across a patio, with the key box next to the door. You are very welcome to use the patio, table and chairs next to the lodge (we apologise if the 2 resident chickens show an interest in you, they are very inquisitive!) We are here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Please feel free to call or text us at any time if there is anything at all we can do for you or if you just fancy a chat. If you’re coming for RIAT, Phil was an RAF fighter pilot flying the Tornado and Typhoon and displayed at the show itself so will be happy to guide you through your weekend and if you’re just visiting to enjoy the lovely Cotswolds please ask for any recommendations on great places to eat or visit. Ideally situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, you have an almost limitless variety of things to do. The market town of Cirencester is nearby with its beautiful shops and eateries, the Cotswold Wildlife park is just a 20 minute drive. For aviation enthusiasts, RAF Fairford in just one mile away hosting the annual Air Tattoo in July. Cheltenham Race course is a 40 minute journey. But closer to you are dozens of stunning villages which are steeped in history and many delightful pubs and restaurants to try. The ideal way to get around is on foot, bike or by car. A limited bus service does however run from the town.
