It's a great area for a family holiday, golf break, walking/cycling trip or for keen wildlife enthusiasts. There are several more natural beaches and some of these are famed for providing the perfect habitat for seals to give birth to their pups. It is also a great areas for bird watchers and nature lovers, both around the immediate woods and on the coastal marshes. Louth has a good range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is also a cinema and a really good leisure centre with two pools. It also has many independently run small shops and is known for its butchers and delicatessens.
