We offer luxury 4 star accommodation with spacious rooms, Hypnos beds and Egyptian cotton bedlinen as standard to make your stay with us relaxing and memorable. Double rooms are located on the ground floor and sleep two. All have private bathroom facilities including a bathtub with shower over, sink, WC, heated towel rail, luxury miniature toiletries and shaving point. The bedroom is equipped with a king size Hypnos double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, Freeview television, ironing facilities and a hairdryer. David bought the Bird in Hand in 2008 having been in the licensed trade for over forty years with the aim of offering the very best traditional British public house experience. The business soon went from strength to strength and in 2015 eight luxury guest bedrooms were added to the property, which now offered accommodation for the very first time. As David's daughter Lizzie, I have recently taken over the business with my brother Alex to allow Dad a well-earned retirement after all his hard work. I've worked at the Bird in Hand for the last twenty years and lived in the village for thirty, so you could say I know the business fairly well! South Norfolk is a truly special place to be with a host of wonderful locations right on our doorstep, unspoilt countryside which is a haven for flora and fauna (not to mention those who enjoy walking!), and quirky historic towns within its boundaries. If you are travelling on business, the Bird in Hand is conveniently located a few minutes from the A11 with Lotus Cars, Classic Team Lotus and the Hethel Engineering and Innovation centre a five minute journey by car.
