LOVELY GEORGIAN HOUSE IN HEART OF VILLAGE

Our comfortable double bedroom with own bathroom overlooks a lovely walled garden in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in England. Come and enjoy the Dedham Vale! NB: As this is our family home, we are only offering our double room at present. Breakfast will be served on trays left outside your room, instead of in the family kitchen. We are only currently accepting guests who have been vaccinated against Covid 19. Sadly we cannot host guests from overseas during the Pandemic. The double bedroom and private bathroom (with bath but no shower - there is a hand-held shower attachment) are situated off their own landing on the first floor at the back of the house away from the High Street. The house is in the centre of the village close to The Sun Inn and The Marlborough Head which both serve good food and beer. There are several other places to eat within easy walking distance. There is private parking in our drive. A continental breakfast including freshly-baked croissants, granola, yoghurt, fresh fruit and jams will be provided, from 7.30am weekdays and from 8am at weekends, at no extra cost. We have lived here a long time so if you have any questions about interesting things to do in the area then please feel free to ask! You will have your own room and bathroom. James or I will usually be around and we are very happy to answer any questions. We live in an area of outstanding beauty in the Dedham Vale on the Suffolk/Essex border. We are 30 mins walking distance from Flatford Mill, made famous by the artist John Constable. We are also within easy reach of the coast with Frinton being our favourite beach. You can drive to Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings in an hour with Southwold just beyond. Sutton Hoo, the subject of the British film The Dig, is approx 40 mins away by car. Manningtree is our nearest station - less than 10 minutes drive away; Colchester is approx 15 minutes drive from us with trains to London taking from 50 minutes.
