Small Victorian house in Faversham's conservation area. A quiet, cosy room in the eaves. Restricted head height in places. Not suitable for those with mobility problems. Delicious, nutritious breakfast included in the price Station/motorway 5 minutes. Trains to Victoria or St Pancras. Free parking outside. 10 minutes Canterbury/ Whitstable, 30 minutes Margate/Ashford Eurostar. Supper on request, book ahead. The house is simply furnished, good bed linen. A second double with ensuite listed separately should 4 wish to stay. Living room, dining room, south facing garden. We're relaxed hosts so, please breakfast whenever you like. The neighbourhood is peaceful and safe. Secure dry storage for bikes overnight. Babies are welcome (we have a travel cot plus bedding) but, please note, the steep stairs are not good for toddlers or anyone with mobility problems. One small dog is OK too, as the house dog is well socialised, but please inform us - an additional £15 per night applies. Free wi-fi throughout. Guests are free to use the sitting room, dining room, and south facing garden. We are around but leave guests to enjoy the space and their breakfast; partcularly post Covid 19. If you request supper we leave this bubbling away in the oven for you to enjoy together. That said we're also very happy to eat with you. Don't hesitate to ask for information and suggestions of where to go and what to do. Faversham is perhaps best known for brewing beer (home to Shepherd Neame), boat building and fruit growing. Now the area is fast becoming a go to destination for artisan food, antiques and vintage. The neighbourhood is peaceful and safe. We're so central everything is easily accessible, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, shops, the market, the cinema, banks, post office, swimming pool,train station, motorway, the sea etc. Always plenty to explore. The Turner gallery in Margate, Canterbury and Rochester cathedrals, Whitstable (oysters), Seasalter (Michelin starred gastropub the Sportsman BUT book way ahead ) Oare bird sanctuary, the Three Mariners gastropub (book) close by, the Saxon Way, Crab & Winkle bike ride etc. We're 5 minutes from the station with regular trains to London, Canterbury/Whitstable 10 minutes, Margate 30 minutes and Ashford where you can pick up the Eurostar to Paris, Brussels etc. 5 minutes also from motorway M2 exit 6. Free parking with voucher from us. Local buses. Dry secure overnight storage for bikes. We only accept guests who are double vaccinated with a booster UNLESS there are mitigating circumstances eg breastfeeding mothers, pregnant women etc Please contact us first to discuss :)) I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights: We sanitise high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob, light switches etc. We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies. We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. We're very happy to cook evening meals or provide a picnic. We try to use locally sourced meat, fish and vegetables. 24 hours notice required.
