Escape the chaos of city living and find sanctuary at Harty Ferry Cottages. Situated on a bird reserve within the picturesque Oare Marshes, it is the perfect spot for keen walkers and birdwatchers. Our beautiful home is just a stones throw from the sea, yet still just over an hour from London. We are a family home with a friendly dog & slightly mad cat. The house is in walking distance to gastro pub The Three Mariners, 25 minutes walk to historic Faversham and a 15 minute drive to Whitstable. We are surrounded by the beautiful and quiet Oare Marshes . You can choose to walk along the Creek to Oare where there are two pubs or go a little further to the Shipwrights arms which is situated on Oare Creek . You will have your own entrance into a breakfast room where you will find a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. We will provide simple breakfast: Cereal, toast, tea and coffee. You have sole use of bathroom which is next to the bedrooms. There is parking at the front of the house. We will be there to welcome you and available if needed. It would be best to have a car. However, a ten minute walk along the picturesque creek takes you to Oare where there are two pubs which serve food. It is a 25 minute walk into Faversham, where you will find all amenities and railway station. Great place if you enjoy walking or bird watching whilst also being close to Faversham, Canterbury, Whitstable and Rochester. Many different festivals and celebrations happen in the nearest town of Faversham, including the Hop Festival, food festival, nautical festival and even hat festival. Faversham Nautical festival -22nd and 23rd of July Hop festival -2 and 3rd September. Food festival -16 and 17th September Christmas Market- 26 November, 10 and 17 th December.
