Eco timbered house between Oslo and the airport

In need of peace, but still prefer to be close to Oslo, the airport (OSL) at Gardermoen and Norway Trade Fairs? Then this comfy century old timbered house is the place for you. Traditional timbered walls downstairs and modern Scandinavian design upstairs. The house is 100 sq. m ( 900 sg. f) so you will have plenty of room to relax in a historic lodge with modern comfort. An old timber lodge on a quiet farm, surrounded by fields and forest where you can meet moose, fox, badgers and beavers. It is also possible to fish in the river Leira, which flows trough the farm. The house is 100% wood , so it breathes, which makes it easier for you to breathe as well. The thick timber walls also filters out just about any noise (although you might notice the birds in the morning). Take a walk and feel the energy surrounding the ten viking graves in the forest, or maybe you'll say hello to a moose or a deer. There is also a Buddhist temple within walking distance as well as an medieval church to take care of your spiritual needs. This area is still very rural, despite the suburbs of Oslo begining just a few kilometers away. Since this is a farm, we have lot´s of space. So if you arrive by several cars or have a caravan parking is no problem. Go for walks in the forest. Meditate on one of the viking graves. Pick herbs in the garden to spice up your cooking. Have a chat with our dog, Hermine, or one of the cats, Julius, Maya and Ulla, if they arn´t out hunting mice. Or maybe you prefer the nearby river, Leira. This area hosts lots of wildlife, e.g. moose, deer, fox, badger, beaver and a variety of birds and fish. Feel free to catch your own dinner from the river. Despite the muddy water the fish is perfectly ok to eat. We know this area and Oslo well, so feel free to ask us if you wonder what to see or do. We're outside gardening as soon as we have a chance, so a coffee and a chat is always welcome. The house is, as mentioned, located 20 minutes by car to Oslo, 10 minutes to Lillestrøm and The Trade Fairs and it takes max 15 minutes to Oslo airport Gardermoen by car. The nearest railwaystation is at Kløfta, 3 km, and the trains for Oslo leave every 30 min. There is also a bus to/from the airport which has a stop approx 15 min by foot from the house. Since we moved to the countryside to get peace and quiet, we do not have a TV in our house, neither in this house. Wifi and radio/CD-player will still keep you informed or entertained. You will also find a little library there to keep you entertained on a rainy day. Gay/LHBT friendly.
