Large Quirky Townhouse in Central Warwick

Come stay in the historic market town of Warwick, with all it has to offer, including one of the best castles in the country just a short stroll away. The Secret Space is not your usual beige-bland, hotel-style rental, but a recently renovated large & quirky town house, full of individual characteristics and stories about its past. Sustainability and Community is part of our ethos so we hope you'll enjoy immersing yourselves into our neighbourhood. We do things differently - So Stay Here! On the ground floor A lovely, spacious lounge with 13 ft high ceilings and comfy sofas. We have chosen not to provide a television, but we do have books, family games, an Alexa and superfast Wi-Fi for those that really need screen time on their own device! A seperate dining room seats up to 6 and a well-equipped kitchen boasts oven, hob, refridgerator and microwave. You will also find a little welcome pack, to start your stay with a smile! Upstairs A beautiful, relaxing double bedroom for a couple, with amazing high ceilings and a large walk in wardrobe. The funky second bedroom has twin single beds, suitable for children or adults. One of these can be trundled into a comfortable double when five guests are staying, although floor space will be reduced with this set-up. The bathroom is fitted with both rainfall and handheld shower and a small bath for when you just want bubbles! Outside A private courtyard area filled with plants, a table and chairs, and a cool bathtub sofa is yours to use. Enjoy that early-evening drink before your meal... Lara and Lizzy both live just 5 minutes away from the Secret Space. We have our own jobs and families, but one of us will always be available if needed! Eating & Drinking You can find a wonderful Tudor pub and restaurant, with a large garden, a few metres down the road if you don't want to go far. There are also takeaways and a wealth of really good eateries all within walking distance. The Portuguese cafe sells great coffee and cakes nearby and there is a Sainsbury's Local two minutes across the road. Things to do Warwick Castle is 10 minute stroll away, as is St Nicholas' Park, which has a cafe, play area, fun-fair and crazy golf as well as beautiful green space and boating on the river to enjoy. There is a sports-centre with a gym, badminton and indoor swimming for rainy day activities. The town centre has a market on the square every Saturday and really is a bustling and picturesque town. Check out Smith Street too, with its little independent shops - perfect for bit of lunch or buying those gifts to take home with you! A bus stop sits handily right outside the Secret Space, which will take you to other lovely towns such as Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and Kenilworth. The train station is a 5 minute walk for direct journeys to Birmingham, Oxford or even London. Free on-street parking is available on Wharf Street, which is close to the house, but please note that other roads in the area are resident-permit only. Clean shoes or slippers are advised to be worn around the house due to our original floorboards upstairs, wooden stairs and quarry tiles downstairs.
