Charming Victorian Terrace in Stratford-upon-Avon
A charming 2 bed Victorian terrace with lots of character, just 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of Stratford, and a 15 minutes walk from Shakespeare's birthplace and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. We have onstreet parking and are a short walk away from the train station. The property sleeps 4 - one room with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. We also have a travel cot. We provide a washing machine, cooker, toaster, kettle, teas & coffee, microwave, iron, hairdryer, WIFI, and 2 TVs. The house is tastefully decorated and has a number of original features, including an old flagstone floor and some lovely period fireplaces in the dining room and master bedroom. Rooms include 2 spacious bedrooms with ample wardrobe and cupboard space for storage, a large family bathroom with a walk-in shower, a well-equipped spacious kitchen with a breakfast bar, a dining room and a cosy sitting room, both with attractive fireplaces. There is a television in the sitting room with freeview channels and a digi-box, and a DVD player. Outside there is a private courtyard with rattan-style furniture. Although we are only a short stroll away from the centre of Stratford we are situated on a quiet road, with a number of attractive Victorian houses on. We are a 2 minute walk from our local shop, selling everything you will need for day-to-day food, groceries and drinks. The walk into town is through the desirable area of Old Town and all local tourist attractions are within walking distance. From Shakespeare's Birthplace, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Anne Hathaway's Cottage, to taking a river cruise along the River Avon or visiting the Butterfly Farm, there are many days out to enjoy for all the family. If you are coming by car then the location is also ideal for exploring the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. The centre of Stratford boasts a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and shops, all within a 15 minute walk. We have onstreet parking and are a 10 minute walk away from the train station which has direct links to Birmingham International Airport, Birmingham city centre and local towns such as Leamington Spa and Solihull. There are a number of regular bus services to surrounding towns and villages, including to Warwick Castle, The Royal Pump Rooms and Jefferson Gardens in Leamington Spa, and Kenilworth Castle to name a few.
