Stunning Cabin with incredible views near Goodwood
The Cabin replaced our old tumbledown sheds. It is completely separate from the main dwelling and has far reaching views to the South Downs. There is one Super King bed in the main area (which can be separated into two single beds) and in the mezzanine, there are two single beds which can be pushed together to become a double. Goodwood (Racing), Midhurst (Polo), Chichester (theatre), South Downs Way (walking / mountain biking) are all within easy reach. The Studio is an oak clad building. Inside, there is a vaulted ceiling which gives way to bare wooden beams. A solid fuel burner keeps the cabin cosy in the dark, winter months. The Studio has its own entrance and there is ample parking at the front of the main dwelling. There is a safe area where guests can leave bicycles over night next to the main house. If you are searching for a little extra space or somewhere quiet away from a busy family home then the 'Cabin' offers a perfect staycation or a work-from-home alternative. Guests can park in front of our house and take the path down to the Studio. The decking in front of the Studio is for guests use but not the garden or outdoor toys, tree house, swing, trampoline. These are in the garden of our house and not for guests use. We are always here and available for guests. We can answer questions and suggest ideas for outings and things to do and see. We have lived here for many years and so we know the area well. Our position here is special. We are just over one hour from London by car and it takes about 25 minutes to get to the seaside. We are in the heart of the South Downs National Park. There is something for everyone; walking, mountain biking, riding, or paragliding are all possible if you are an adrenaline junkie(!) whilst on the other hand, the Chichester Festival Theatre is not far; racing at Goodwood, Polo at Cowdray (Midhurst) are all here. We are equi-distant between Petersfield and Midhurst and there are some excellent places to dine out, some typical country pubs or simply just independent cafes and coffee shops if you just want to watch the world go by... Parking at the Studio is good. It is private and secure. Cyclists can store their bicycles in a locked shed. The nearest train station is 4 miles from us in Petersfield and a taxi from the station will take about 10 minutes. It is useful to come with some sort of transport though to enable you to really get out there and explore! Please note that the mezzanine level is accessible via steep steps that must be approached with care and will not be suitable for some guests and young children. We live in the adjacent House and will be available to help you during your stay if needed but otherwise we will leave you to it. There is a solid fuel burner in the Studio and an electric heater. We leave very comprehensive instructions should you wish to use the solid fuel burner and these must be adhered to for safety reasons. Homefire ovals are provided and some logs. The electric heating can be used according to the season. Breakfast: We leave cereal, milk, tea and coffee in the cabin for your breakfast. There is a toaster, kettle, microwave, and small electric hob. There is a steep ladder to access the mezzanine without a handrail, this must be used very carefully as we cannot accept any responsibility for any accidents. This is not suitable for very young or very old. No children under 10 years please. There is also a 'HaHa' at the bottom of the garden which prevents animals coming into the garden and gives you a seamless view with no fences. Please leave the Studio as you find it, no dirty washing up and please put anything you have used away. Thank you.
