Primrose cottage offers everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. This charming cottage set in the delightful village of Tideswell is situated away from the main road with countryside views. It is the perfect base for all outdoor pursuits, or if you are just looking for a quiet few days away to enjoy village life with a good selection of local pubs. The picturesque village of Tideswell is a popular destination and hosts a fabulous range of amenities including three pubs, two fish and chip shops, a cafe, two restaurants/bistros, a co-op store, a chemist, butchers, fruit and veg shop and more (please refer to my guidebook for more details and check before arrival of opening times as seasonal variations for pubs/restaurants may exist). Tideswell is home to a stunning 14th century church known as ‘The Cathedral of the Peak’ and is central to other Peak District locations for example Castletown, Bakewell, Eyam, Edale, Hathersage and many more. Primrose cottage: This immaculate two bedroomed cottage is ideal for up to two couples, a small family or single people who wish to enjoy the stunning surrounding countryside and walks/running/cycling available on its doorstep including Tideswell Dale, Litton Mill, Cressbrook Dale, Millers Dale, the Pennine bridleway, the Limestone way, Monsal Trail and more. The kitchen which is located on the first floor to take advantage of the fabulous outdoor scenery, has all essential equipment and a breakfast bar to seat up to 5. The spacious lounge has two large sofas and an additional dining table. There is a log burner supplied with a small complimentary basket of logs and kindling for an evening. Additional logs and kindling can be purchased from co-op (in season), please also provide your own lighting equipment. Amazon Prime and Netflix are available for evening entertainment and there is also a good selection of board games, jigsaws and books to be enjoyed. Bedroom one is a large comfortable bedroom with a king-size bed. Bedroom two is a cosy and cleverly designed room to allow it to sleep either a couple or two children. It has bunkbed style beds with a single upper bed (suitable for a child) and a double lower bed. Both rooms have ample storage for guests and additional bedding if required. The bathroom located on the ground floor has a powerful shower and also houses the washing machine and clothes airer. A further toilet is located on the first floor. There is a seating area at the front of the property and a picnic bench to enjoy times outside. Please note the stairs is an open plan design and not suitable for very young children. Stair gates can be provided upon request. Street parking outside the cottage is available. Please note the road is narrower in places. Please allow plenty of room for traffic, including wider vehicles eg tractors, to pass, when parking. Guests can contact me if they need any additional help or information.
