Ilketshall St. Margaret self-catering holiday home
The self-catering holiday home is attached to our own house, which is situated in the rural village of Ilketshall St. Margaret, Suffolk. There is one double bedroom (evt. baby bed available), bathroom with bath and shower, well equipped kitchen cum sitting/dining room with a.o. a dishwasher and washing machine. The holiday home has its own entrance at the back with a private sunny garden. Smoking outside is allowed. There is ample parking space at the front of the house. We also speak Dutch! The holiday home has a private access and garden, separated from our own home by a fence. Upon arrival we will give you a tour of the holiday home and provide details about your stay. There are also some instructions in a folder in the home. The holiday home is in the lovely Waveney Valley, on the border of Suffolk and Norfolk. There are many rural walks possible from the village, using public footpaths through fields and meadows. It is a quiet village with mainly agricultural traffic. There is no pub in the village, but St. Peter’s Brewery is only a mile away. Usually it would be open for lunches and do brewery tours, however, because of the current situation, please check before going over there. There is a shop on the premises which is open, selling their products. The historic market town of Bungay is only 2 miles away. There is a good variety of shops, including various places to eat out or get a take away meal, several pubs, restaurants and tearooms and a Co-op supermarket with petrol station and ATM. The seaside village of Southwold with its pier and lovely sandy beaches is just approx. 25 minutes driving with usually no traffic jams, there is ample parking there, while Norwich is only approx. 45 minutes away. There are several lovely market towns close by, a.o. Beccles, Halesworth and Harleston, all within 20 minutes driving.
