Tremellion is a cosy C19th terraced miners granite cottage located on the edge of Cot Valley within an AONB. It offers an open plan living space with roaring woodburner together with dining area and fully equipped modern kitchen. The rooms are light and airy with contemporary furniture and local art work. Up the slightly steep painted staircase there’s a double bedroom (with bathroom leading off) and a twin bedroom. Please note: access to the bathroom is through the double bedroom. Tremellion is a unique terraced cottage due to being located in the rugged and wild landscape of West Cornwall, a short distance from the vast and wild Atlantic Ocean. After a beautiful walk along some of the most amazing cliffs relax in our cosy cottage with either a delicious local takeaway or homecooked meal. On the cooler evenings light the woodburner, sit back and enjoy one of the many books the house has to offer or play one of the many games provided. Up the steep wooden staircase to bed where you'll find a twin bedroom (access bathroom through double bedroom) and a double bedroom (bathroom off) both enticing you to a relaxing and tranquil space. All beds have pocket sprung mattresses, cosy toppers and feels like down, but aren't, duvets to ensure a perfects nights sleep, along with electric radiators in both bedrooms. Each of the bedrooms have original Cornish artwork on the walls. From the kitchen a door leads to the small garden which is a real sun trap in the summer. A lovely place to have alfresco breakfast and evening drinks. Entire cottage and garden. I won't be available in person, but if help is required I’m at the end of a phone. St.Just is situated in the rugged and wild landscape of West Penwith. Tremellion is a stones throw away from the beautiful Cot Valley and Porth Nanven Beach, with cliff paths to the south to Sennen and beyond, the north to Botallack carrying on to St.Ives. St.Just has a place to eat or arrange takeaway for every night of your stay, never having to have to cook a meal, even though the cottage has a well equiped kitchen to cook a Sunday lunch. One of the favorites of previous guests is to get fish and chips from Jeremy's in St.Just and walk down to Porth Nanven to watch the sunset, one of the most beautiful sights you'll see. Tremellion is within easy access of the beautiful Isles of Scilly. Whether you opt to fly from Lands End airport, which is only 2 miles away, to board the Scillonian ferry or to take the helicopter from Penzance, which is 8 miles away, either way it's a day to remember. There are regular bus services from St.Just to Penzance, St.Ives, Marizion, Carbis Bay, Botallack, Lands End, Lamorna and Newlyn. Please check with the local bus operator for up to the minute time tables. From St.Erth there is a lovely train ride to St.Ives along the coast, beats having to find parking in St.Ives. St.Just also offers a taxi service. There is on road parking outside the cottage for a small / medium size car, if you have a larger vehicle there is a free car park in St.Just which is a 10 minute walk away. Places to buy logs locally are Clemos, Fore St. St.Just or Semmens Logs, Coal & Gas. There are large supermarkets located in Penzance, we suggest maybe, stopping at one of these before arriving at the cottage. There are small shops in St.Just, The Premier and the Co-op. There are places within walking distance to get coffee, takeaways or pub meals. We supply towels for all guests, these are for use in the cottage only and not be be taken to the beach. Please bring your own beach towels.
