Perfect 3 bed Cottage in the Heart of Marlborough

A charming and super stylish newly refurbished 3 double bedroom cottage set in the heart of historic Marlborough. Goose Cottage is 2 minute stroll to the delightful High St., Waitrose, Rick Stein's and lovely shops. Loads of great walks, beautiful forests and outdoor activities on your doorstep. Goose cottage is a stylishly furnished traditional cottage offering a unique and comfortable stay right in the heart of Marlborough. Goose Cottage offers an open plan kitchen/dining area and a separate sitting room that has a Freeview TV/DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped kitchen with a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave. There is also a washing machine for your use. Upstairs on the first floor you will find a very comfortable double bedroom, another lovely twin room and a modern luxury showeroom. On the top floor there is the third double bedroom which is full of original features and kingsize double bed. In this room there is the second beautifully finished 2nd bathroom. Guest have the whole house to themselves. Please note that the house is over 300 years old and as such has steep stairs which the elderly might find challenging. Also a bit of patience is required when trying to find a parking space. Most of the time it's fine, but sometimes being in the centre of town, means to have to walk a bit. Marlborough has recently been awarded as one of the best places to live in the UK surrounded by a wonderfully diverse countryside including open downs and the ancient Savernake Forest. Goose Cottage is situated in the heart of this picturesque town. When you want a break from the plentiful boutique shopping and fancy a bite to eat, Marlborough has plenty of restaurants, gastro pubs, and cafes all on your doorstep. For those wanting to self-cater, Waitrose and Majestic Wine is a but stone's throw away! Marlborough High Street is a 2 minute stroll from the house, where you can find pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and plenty of shops. There is free parking around the Green on a first come first basis. I also have a space reserved at a nearby carpark if you can't find a space near the house. Nearest Train Station: Hungerford (15 mins drive), Pewsey (20 mins drive) or Swindon (20 mins drive).
