The Lodge, near Le Manoir, M40 J7
Cosy modern loft room above detached garage. Recently refurbished in soft greys, whites & blues. Own front door, parking for one car on driveway. Entrance on ground floor to hallway & shower room with electric shower, sink, loo, towels. Stairs leading to eaves bedroom on first floor (mind your head!) with double bed, small sofa, tv, wi-fi, hairdryer and fairy lights. Kitchenette with kettle, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, crockery, cutlery and glasses. Electric radiators. The lodge is perfect for a single night stay after a lovely local dinner (or maybe two nights if you want to explore the countryside). It may also work for a single person who needs a few nights accommodation, although space is limited, but if you need to work, there is a tiny 'old school desk' and chair. but there are no washing facilities available, so I would suggest four nights maximum. It is comfortable, cosy and has a really relaxed and peaceful feel to it. Stunning shutters allow daylight to flood the room. But do mind your head on the ceiling. Beautiful walks in the area as well as amazing local restaurants and Oxford only a 20 minute drive. You do need a car to get anywhere around here, although mainline train station is only 15 mins away. I live in the main house and am usually available to answer any questions either in person or on on mobile. I would love to meet you if I am around, so do feel free to knock on the door on arrival or departure, or call me with any requests or queries. Otherwise, I will respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet. Acces to the property is either via myself or via a key safe if preferred. Central Oxford is only 20 minutes drive away, and the lovely market town of Thame less than 10 minutes. Beautiful local scenery including the Great Haseley windmill can be seen on walks. Our fantastic local restaurant, Le Table d'Alix at The Plough is a minutes walk down the road, and Le Manoir aux Quatre Saisons in the next village just over the A329. Great Haseley is situated just off J7 of the M40. Nearest train station is Haddenham & Thame Parkway which is less than 15 minutes drive. Please note that it can get quite hot upstairs in the height of summer. But there is a fan available for your use. External 13amp plug available on request if you have adaptor for electric car charging (at extra cost).
