Delaford Stables is a completely self-contained annexe guest suite, attached to a charming period cottage on the outskirts of the village of Etchingham. • Accommodation comprises a double bedroom, a large vaulted-ceiling living room, & a modern shower/toilet suite. • The property has recently been refurbished to the highest modern standards while still retaining the character of the original stables & tack room. • Complimentary PROSECCO on arrival • CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST included in price Spacious, comfortable and quite unique in its furnishings and decor, Delaford Stables is an ideal base for visitors to the Sussex countryside. Only four miles from the picturesque village of Ticehurst, and two miles from Burwash, it provides excellent accommodation for anyone looking for a relaxing day or two in the country. It is ideally situated for guests attending weddings, parties and other events in the area. Cyclists, ramblers and hikers - all are welcome. And so are dogs. All accommodation is on the ground floor with easy access and no stairs. • On ARRIVAL, guests are welcomed with a complimentary bottle of sparkling Italian PROSECCO on ice. • The main living area has a breakfast station with a kettle for making tea and a NESPRESSO COFFEE machine - for use throughout your stay. • Complimentary tea, Nespresso coffee pods, fresh milk and bottled water. • We also provide a CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST of croissants, pastries, home-made granola pots, fresh fruit and orange juice - all included in the booking price. We can also arrange a VEGAN BREAKFAST. Please let us know in advance if that is your preferred option. (Please note there is no kitchen with cooking facilities but by popular demand we have installed a 65-litre FRIDGE and a MICROWAVE) • In the shower/toilet suite fluffy white BATH ROBES, towels and TOILETRIES are all provided. • There is a full-length MIRROR in the bedroom. • An IRON and IRONING BOARD are available for guest use. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use these and we will put them in the space prior to you arrival. • The Stables has a secluded GARDEN AREA where guests can relax on DECK CHAIRS and enjoy the sunshine. • We are DOG FRIENDLY. Delaford Stables is in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, situated in the heart of the High Weald countryside. It is in easy reach of Bewl Water, Bedgebury, the beautiful gardens of Sissinghurst and Great Dixter, and Rudyard Kippling's home "Batemans" in Burwash. The villages of Hawkhurst, Ticehurst, Robertsbridge, Burwash and Salehurst are a short drive away. Each of these villages has traditional Sussex pubs, all of which serve excellent food and local ales. In the village of Etchingham itself, there is an award-winning bistro bar and coffee shop at the station with an attractive outdoor dining area. When you arrive at The Stables you will find lots of local information leaflets with ideas for activities and places to go to suit everybody. Or you can just ask us. If you are coming in by train you can arrange in advance for us to pick you up on arrival and take you back to the station again when you go home. This service if free of charge. If you are attending a wedding and reception in Ticehurst or Burwash we can also arrange transport to and from the venue at times to suit you. Bookings in advance. Prices on request.
