Small room at the end of the world

It is a charming room in a natural and authentic setting- ideal for those who wish to decompress, who love nature and tranquility, who love walking, or just want to enjoy a beautiful beach of fine sand... It is a small room, with a stunning view over the sea. The room is located on the upper floor of the house. The ground floor consists of a large space that connects the kitchen, the fireplace and TV space, and the dining room with the piano. It is also on the ground floor that the bathroom with toilet is located. The house is facing the sea, with large windows and bay windows, to get the best view and breeze at any time, with the magnificent scenery. In front of the house, the coast is rocky and generally little crowded, although it offers excellent conditions for underwater discovery, and the access to what we call our "private pool" is relatively easy. There is also a beach, known for its fine sand and clear water, which is about 400-500 meters from the house. In summer, you may take advantage of the garden. A large dining table remains on the veranda during 4-5 months of the year. Meanwhile, it is the table-tennis table that occupies the space in the dining room, and sometimes real tournaments are organized with friends and guests. Those who are not focused on sports activities would enjoy the hammock and the lounge chairs, for some reading or for gazing at the view of the rock of Raf-Raf, when in the late afternoon, the sky is tinged with pink-orange colors. We are fortunate to have a lovely couple who takes care of the house maintenance. Therefore, even if we are absent, there is always someone at home. Breakfast is included in the price, but if you want to share other meals with us, this is also possible to arrange by mutual agreement. Beside the room, the entire ground floor and outdoor spaces are available to our guests. We enjoy receiving visitors from all over the world, and we carefully pay attention to their requests and wishes. We are equally happy to share our love to this beautiful country, Tunisia. Located on the northern coast of Tunisia, between Bizerte and Tunis, Sounine is just an hour drive from Tunis and its northern suburbs (Sidi Bou Said, Carthage), while providing a real change of scenery. It is not recommended to fans of night clubs, as the place remained unspoilt by mass tourism. Off the beaten track, discover the true face of Tunisia. We are located on a rocky and wild coast, between the beautiful beach of Ain Mestir (500m) and other small beaches on the Sounine side. On both sides, different cafes settle in summer on the beaches (some of which also prepare fresh fish accompanied with salad). A restaurant is also open most of the year, offering fresh fish, Tunisian cuisine and pizza. Sounine is a small and peaceful village of about 2000 inhabitants. The village center is at approximately 30 min. walk from the house. There are mainly grocers and greengrocers, and you may find fresh traditional bread that women of the village prepare daily as well as fresh milk from the local cows. For proper shopping, it is better to go to Ras Jebal, a small town located a few kilometers away. You can find there a nice market, offering a wide choice of fish, meat, vegetables and fruits. Close by is a supermarket, where you can find almost everything else... To get to our place you have the choice: either hire a car if you want to be independent and are planning to explore the region. However, if your main goal is pure relaxation, you can take a taxi to reach the place, and then you have the possibility of doing some trekking and walking in the area. If the opportunity arises, we will gladly take you to the market at Ras-Jebal or to Tunis Apart from accommodation, we also offer other services upon request - meals and guided trekking. If you want to organize a group holiday, it is also possible. If necessary, we can rent and prepare one or more neighboring houses to increase our accommodation capacity, which is currently four bedrooms.
