A place to cultivate ... the earth, the body and the spirit. To promote the re-encounter of people with nature. The nature of the countryside and the nature of themselves, through personal and cultural enrichment and nature activities. CASA do LIMOEIRO its a recovered family house to receive people, families and retreats in a quiet and confortable place at the countryside but still near from Lisbon city (55kms) and some of the most beautifull west beaches: Santa Cruz (33kms), Ericeira (50kms) and Peniche (53kms). There are two other bedrooms, with two bunk beds each and a private bathroom, which can also be made available. (See ad casa do poço @ Casa do Limoeiro). The guests are welcome to use the space around the house, which includes the swimming pool, the gardens and the vegetable garden (shared with all the guests). Also the kitchen is fully equipped. Upon request, we can provide other services, such as Yoga and Meditation classes and Ayurvedic Massage. By request, we can provide other services, like Yoga or Meditation classes and Ayurvedic massages. Aldeia Galega is a medieval small village, with more than 500 years old. Some religious monuments are worth visiting both in Aldeia Galega it self, but also in the nearby villages. The region is also very rich in some of the best Portuguese wines, that can be visited in the Alenquer wine route. What is also worth is the heritage of the Lines of Torres Vedras as a military defense system that dictated the ultimate withdrawal of the Napoleonic army of Portugal, in what became known as the 3rd French invasion - one of the most remarkable episodes of Peninsular War. Near is also the Montejunto mountain (24kms) that allows several outdoor activities like bird watch, mountain biking, hiking or climbing.
