Cosy Cotswolds Cottage
Our cosy little cottage is close to Burford and you will love it for its small crooked doors and walls, low ancient beamed ceilings and because of the beautiful surrounding countryside and great local pubs. It is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). Charlbury station is a 10 minute taxi ride away and a 10 minute walk to Burford High Street. A little two bedroom (1x King & 2 singles which can be pushed together if you wish) 17th century Cotswold stone cottage in a charming quiet lane with a small kitchen (2 ring hob and microwave with oven/grill function), sitting room with fold out table for meals, bath with shower, easy parking and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Ceilings are fairly low so please bear this in mind if you are quite tall. Access to the upper bedroom is via a spiral staircase and there is no door to close, so please consider if mobility is an issue or privacy is important. I don't always interact with our guests but am happy to provide local advice. The neighbourhood is renowned for its beautiful walks and picturesque villages of which Burford High Street just 1 mile away is one of the best known of the Cotswolds. Within a short drive are some of the finest gourmet pubs and the city of Oxford is just half an hour away. Stratford upon Avon is 50 minutes away and Blenheim Palace is just 25 minutes. An ideal location for a short break from London or as a hub for venturing out into the heart of England. The cottage is just a 10 minute taxi ride from Charlebury railway station with direct trains every hour to and from London. It is just over an hour from Heathrow and Birmingham airports. The cottage has a kitchenette but this is probably not best suited to extensive cooking. There is a 2 ring hob, a microwave with an oven function, a fridge and a sink.
