Lovely room in a Georgian house - COOMBE BANK

Georgian House set in an acre of gardens located on the outskirts of Uckfield ( 15 mins walk) - a small Market town in East Sussex surrounded by the Ashdown Forest. We are a short distance from a number of the best wedding venues in East Sussex including Buxted Park and Hendall Manor. There are also some great walks direct from the house - Lakewood and Buxted Park or you can go further afield -Birling Gap 30 mins. Uckfield itself has some good places to eat and some local shops to potter around Lovely Georgian House set in a acre of gardens. The house is South facing so the sunshine can be enjoyed all day. We have a lovely dog, cat, chickens and rabbits. There are lovely walks directly from the house including Lakewood, Buxted Park and Ashdown Forest is a few Miles away. Piltdown golf club is just over a mile away. East Sussex National is 3 miles In addition to the room and bathroom guests are welcome to sit in the walled Garden / courtyard or garden at the back of the house. We will make ourselves available to answer any questions you may have. You are welcome to relax in the gardens and join us for a cup of tea or glass of wine PLEASE NOTE THE HOUSE IS CALLED COOMBE BANK - please do not go to Chantry House . We are looking located in a quiet road circa 15 mins stroll from the small market town of Uckfield. The house of set and surrounded by an acre of gardens. We are a 15 minute walk into the town where you have a number of restaurants and cafes including The coffee Barn and Hartfields ( breakfast, Brunch , Lunch. The Picture House restaurant, numerous Indians and an excellent Thai ( Thai Terre) . There is also a Costa, Pizza Express a McDonalds and KFC. Waitrose and Tesco’s are at the bottom of the High Street. If you are happy to make short car journeys we have some great pub restaurants within easy reach. The Peacock is 1 & 1/2 miles away. The Hurstwood is fab ( 4 Miles) , The White Hart in Buxted( 2 miles or 1 stop on train ) The Griffin in the pretty village of Fletching is 4 miles. Our local golf course is Piltdown. A pretty heathland course. The East Sussex National is 3 miles away. The bus service to Brighton, Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells is good and can be picked up at the end of Snatts Road or you can go to the bus station at the bottom of the High Street. You can drive to all 3 places in 30 / 35 mins . The lovely market town of Lewes is 15 mins by car or 30 by bus. Lewes Castle is worth a visit and they have a great local market . We are on the edge of the Ashdown Forest so fabulous walks and cycle rides and views are plentiful ! ...The train service to London Bridge is every 30 mins in rush hour and then every hour ( 34 past each hour) . I will provide / serve a light/continental breakfast. If you would like a full English breakfast including fresh fruit, cereal, Full English cooked breakfast ( locally sourced produce where possible and our own eggs) toast and tea and coffee this can be prearranged for an additional cost of £12.50 per head.
